Ontario Opens Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub in Lambton County

The Ontario government is expanding access to high-quality mental health and addictions care with the launch of a new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in Lambton County. This is part of the province’s almost $550 million investment to open 28 HART Hubs across Ontario to protect the safety of children and families, while improving access to recovery and treatment services for people facing housing instability, mental health and substance use challenges.

  • Health services
  • Basic needs and income supports
  • Housing case management
  • Intensive mental health supports
  • Employment services

  • Connection to addiction services and recovery support

Transitional Recovery

A Place to Continue Your Recovery

Individuals who need long-term addiction recovery supports are eligible for up to an 18 month stay that include access to these programs and services:

  • Primary care nurse practitioner
  • Physician to monitor
  • Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) therapy
  • Substance use services for clients and their families
  • 24-hour care to support mental health and addictions
  • Family programming focusing on recovery

Individuals experiencing homelessness who require different levels of housing support can access:

  • Housing case management
  • Life skills
  • Food security
  • Community connections
  • Rent geared to income
  • Landlord engagement
